Hi! I'm Emily and I tell stories. I make music for moving your body on the subway. At the gas pump. At the edge of some continent in the bliss of salt air. I write dramatic love songs, revisionist histories, gossip I overhear while eavesdropping on the bus. odes to mountains and abandoned towns in the desert and motels in the middle of America. Each of my projects is an attempt to celebrate and honor the creative spirit — and to capture what it feels like to be a human at a very particular time in a very particular place. It is a way to share with others my joys and my sorrows, my observations and my obsessions, my questions, and the long meandering strains of my imagination.
